hello world! 🖐

My name is Julius. I like data networks, old hard- & software, all things space, the X-Files and ramen. This is my little corner of the web where I put down whatever drives my interests. I hope you have as much fun looking around as I have running this place!

Some links to get your started:

  • Documents - Write-ups with a longer shelf-life
  • Weblog - Reading lists, recipes..
  • FTPd - My public FTP server (mirroring old software)
  • AS47462 - My IPv6-only ISP (operated for fun)

"A name indicates what we seek. An address indicates where it is. A route indicates how to get there."

Jon Postel, RFC791

I'm a network engineer for fun and profit, specialising in:

  • Datacenter- and corporate-networks
  • Private network interconnection
  • Inter-domain routing (BGP)
  • LIR administration (RIPE area)
  • IPv6 consulting and deployment
  • DNS administration
  • Bringing UNIX and Perl to the rescue

I've planned, built and operated highly available networks for thousands of workloads using Cisco, Brocade, Extreme, Comware, Dell, VMware NSX, CheckPoint, MikroTik, Netgate, Cumulus etc. pp.

You can ask me for collab, especially if it's for a good cause!

Don't believe the hype.
